Okay, so the other day, I started up my comptuter, it had one of those disk check things which I skipped, then the computer loaded as normal. I went on Spore: Galactic Adventures, the one I always go on [I also have C&C installed] and when the thing loaded a message appeared, something like 'The game has encountered a faulty/corrupt save. Attempting to revert back to a previous version.' Then that dissappeared and all my saves were gone! It was as if I had just launched the game for the first time, so I went to a new game and all the levels were unlocked, unlike when you first play spore. I then went to start a space stage and went to select my creature from the Sporepedia, when i saw that all of my creations were blank. They had the title and everything they normally have, but instead of the picture it was just a white box. I went over to the eveything tab, and saw that only MY creations were blank, all other maxis/downloaded creations. I opened one of my creations up, and it said 'You do not have the required parts or textures installed to view this creation' I chose the creation anyway, chose other blank creations, and launched the game.
My blank creation was replaced by a recently downloaded creation, so I quit. I went on to try to create a new creation, and when I tried to name it it wouldnt let me. I exited. Later on I tried this again and when I went to save it it was randomly named, however it still said 'Creation requires a name to save'.
I went back to the Sporepedia, when I noticed my creations from the past week don't show up at all, like they don't have a 'card'. I went on to try viewing one of the MAxis creations, and it let me view it without the message. Then same thing happened with a downloaded creation.
I then went to the galactic adventures tab, where i tried quick playing one of my blank creations, and as soon as I double clicked it, it went back to the galactic adventures menu, and didn't even seem to try to load my creation. I then tried to edit one of my creations, which also didnt work. I then started a new adeventure.
I tried to get it to load one of my blank creations, which of course didnt work. I placed my captain, and clicked the save and exit button, which didnt seem to respond in any way. I tried the red 'exit and dont save' buttin, which also didnt seem to respond. I tried switching to the terraforming tab, and the button responded but it didnt go into terraform mode. I clicked the test button, same thing, didnt respond. I minimised the thing via the 'windows' button, and then maximised it again. It then began working, it would switch into terraform mode, and playtest mode, then back to terraforming mode ect. Then I clicked the save and exit button, and it didnt respond like last time. I tried all the buttons, but none worked, I then tried to go into terraform mode, didnt work like last time. I tried minimising and maximising again, it didnt work this time. I tried to exit it via the options menu, and nothing in that menu reponded or worked, exept the resume button. I could only exit by ending its proccess, which I did.
I then relaunched the game, and realised I hadn't logged in last time, which I did this time. I went to the Sporpedia, everything was the same, my creations were all blank ect. I tried to view one, it started loading, and then it came up with the message "LOCKED CREATION This creation uses assets from a Spore product currently not installed on this system" Then below it was the blue Spore icon, and it said 'Core Spore'
So I exited GA and went into core Spore, into the Sporepedia, where ALL my blank creations were not. I noticed there were still some of my creations there that showed fine, like they were completely uneffected. I closed spore, went into 'My Spore Creations' in My Documents, and saw that all the PNGs of all my creations were still there, even those creations from this week which didnt show up in the sporepedia.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I thought I might reinstall but Ill wait until someone knows what this is.
If you read all that, thank you, and sorry it was so long...
