I know, but I had to keep them in that way because I had a small water stave around my house, on which I had to jump over. It's correct on my new house (I lost the older world due to a power cutout), because I added a fence around it. I wish I had cacti, but my seed is a superbig tundra biome. It's a big luck I found unfrozen Sugar Cane on a river shore.
What do you think of my new lava-glass ceiling ? The walls and the floor are not finished yet, I should put bricks and mossy stone from a dungeon I just found, soon.
That's true... if a creeper manages to spawn here, I don't think the ceiling would be high enough to not receive damage, as glass only has a 1.5 resistance I'm gonna light up the crops with glowstone, as you did, and maybe even put some on the ground.
My Nether bunker is crazy too, it looks like a jail. Unfortunatly, my portal spawned right on the edge of a peak, as you can see in the picture. The good thing is that when I walked away from it, I wasn't going to fall off, in the wrong way. There wasn't even any netherrack under it. I used to put a Nether Wart farm in a "basement", but it was impossible due to the unavailability of below blocks.
