Let's talk Skyrim! So the other day I was travelling along some path and I come across some Nords. And I kill'd em. Har har. No, but I must tell you why. I must tell you the long, painful story of why I hate the Nords.

It all started when I was a wee lil lad, I was ramsacking the Jarl of Windhelm's palace, and I came across this magical bookcase shrouded in a mysterious fog. I browsed the books by title... until I came unto something that caught thine eye: "The Falmer: A Study"

So I read this book... and went into a murderous rage, killing all the guards, the servants, cleaners, sandwich makers... and even the Jarl himself!!! I ran out of the palace, killed the two guards outside, ran down the stairs, dodging arrows like it was The Matrix, killed all the guards, killed the entire populace and saved and quitted.

Why did I do this? Because of the book. It contains the story of the history of Nord settlement of Skyrim. You see;

In the time before man, they were known as the Snow Elves. They lived in the sunlight and had a very prosperous society, they were a proud people with an unusually great aptitude for magic. Then the Nords arrived in Skyrim - they settled there and the two races lived in peace. The Nord settlement of Saarthal uncovered The Eye of Magnus and the Elves told them to put it back... and they didn't.

The Snow Prince led them in the Night of Tears, wiping out the populace of Saarthal leaving only Ysgramor alive. He fled and returned with his 500 Companions. They drove the Snow Elves out of Skyrim in a genocidal campaign against them - and the survivors, including the Snow Prince, fled to Solsthiem.

The Nords persued the Snow Elves to Solsthiem, where, led by their leader, The Snow Prince, the Snow Elves defended their last settlement at The Battle of Moesring. The Snow Prince was slain, the Snow Elf civilisation destroyed, and the surviving Snow Elves fled into the mountains, seeking refuge with their brothers, the Dwemer (or the Dwarves, for those uneducated among us).

The Dwemer invited the refugees in, but did not trust them. They forced them to consume a toxic fungus rendering them blind. They became the servants of the Dwemer, and then their slaves. The Dwemer made the fungus an essential part of the Snow Elves' diets, ensuring all future generations would be blind, and powerless.

The Snow Elves were embittered by this betrayal, and rebelled against the Dwemer. They constructed the Great Statue of Irkngthand, which contained the "Eyes of the Falmer", two massive gems embedded in the eye sockets. They fled into Blackreach and began a bloody war with the Dwemer, The War of the Crag.

At this time Sai, the god of luck, way sympathetic to the Snow Elves, but Mara, the godess of 'love', condemned them, considering them, "Gone altogether and forever".

When the Dwemer disappeared, the former Snow Elves were left to spread freely throughout the Dwemer's domain, but they were forever changed - their centuries of subterranean slavery, permanent blindness and bloody war with the Dwemer left them crippled, bloodthirsty and brutal.

Today they are known as the Falmer, they live underground in Dwemer ruins, killing on site everything not one of their own. Except the Chaurus. Ooh god, the Chaurus. I've fought dragons, trolls... but the Chaurus? No thank you. And so concludes my explaination as to why I hate the Nords. *bows*
