Hey guys. Well, I do not have a computer to work aom with, but I do have my flash drive with files that are a month unupdated from the most recent stuff I have. :(
But from a while ago infact, I did finish a small cinematic, bit over 3 minutes, it was like my third cinematic experience in the editor, when I had started working my talants. Anyways, I never let anyone see it. But as I have nothing else to do now, I suppose I can show it.
Heres how it can go. If you want to check it out, Ill email it to you. I will send a zip folder with the readme and files so you can get it in. And then give me feedback on it. I dont know, I mean it actually might be good enough to be considered for an upload on aomh, tell me what you think of it here.
It was quite good, although I think that you didn't need to keep showing the power we use, it seemed like you were just stalling for time. THe effects of the towns getting destroyed were nice though, so I thought it was quite good. Edit: And yes, I just said it was quite good at the end and the start.

Watched it, I understand it was kind of a cinematic for a game guide, so I'll concentrate on rating the real cinematic part, with gaia and all the fog, as the part with the city weren't really supposed to look like a cinematic.
Well I really liked the camera tracks looking down on Gaia while rotating with the fog, even though it would probably have been cooler if you had used misc stairs fog, then you could have used more camera angles without us seeing the 2D fog, and you could have even made the camera travelling through fog, which always looked awesome.
So yeah the gaia part was cool, but watch out about 2 little bugs: sometimes with your camera tracks we would see the end of the skybox, like we'd see some black. Also sometimes we'd see Gaia disapear, I noticed this happens with some units when looking from a specific angle.
So I think if you upload it at AoMH you should first remake the city part and make it not look like an RTS standard city and view, make some building overlap, look at the buildings from down with fire in the screen, nice destruction effects, etc. Then your cinematic would be very good.
Yeah, I think he has, but it's natural. I think we all have a little madness inside, it just takes stress for it to come out. And yes it was sarcasm, but I'll walk the plank if you want me to.
well guys, my life was great, i had lots of fun on my computer with aojm and stuff. now that thats all gone, i get extremely bored, and moody, angry from not having it, so the combination is making me have witty/sarcastic/rude/ slightly crazy comments now.
You should at least try and get the files out to jack. Say you need to get an old file for your midterm english protfolio. You won't actually go on the game so i doubt they would have a problem with that
Bronze + flaming weapons is awesome. Did you know if you transform a bronzed unit into a Gaia tree then go to cut it down, the axe hitting the tree will make metal on metal clanging noises?
