The Pirates of the Caribbean movie trilogy. Discuss. I love them so much. They are my favorite movies of all time, I have them on my computer. All 3. Just last night watched the third. Made me remember how damn effing good they are. And I planned before that when Nomadican is released I will watch the trilogy for my celebration. Jack, I have seen multiple times how you know of them and like them. You like them as well dont you? Seriously they are the god damn coolest movies ever (to me). Got me started on the mindset of me liking pirates. I love these movies so much. AMAZING. Oh and in the third, Captain Teague is the coolest pirate.
Yes, first was the best. It had a complete story in its own, how the curse was and all that. THen in the second and third, they were basically a new storyline continuing in both of them. The second mostly set up the background and gave the information, and the third was free to just be anything they wanted since they already explained it in the second. I really analayzed everything that was happening when i watched the 3 last night. It wasnt that complex, they got jack back, betrayal/side thing with that Singapore pirate (forgot name), then they went to the pirate meeting, big end battle, thats it. The first battle in singapore was my favorite in the 3rd movie.
Yeah I completely agree, turning that dorma lady into calypso was too much extra crap to the plot. Although it did contribute that totally awesome last battle with the maelstrom.
Fourth, seriously, if there is one I would love that. I was thinking, at the end of 3, it did give you a cliffhanger and totally open to a sequal. Although, elizabeth wasnt annoying or bad at all in the 3rd. When she got all awesome and gave the cool speech, leading the pirates, that really showed how cool girls can be. It was totally awesome.
there is a fourth one already being made. It has some sort of funky name but the plot is searching for the fountain of youth with jack and Barbarossa. Look it up.
I did just google it. SOunds hellishly freaking awesome, but adding blackbeard as a pirate isnt a good move to me. Cause he is a real historical figure, so interacting with non historical figures (the pirates in the movie) just would make it obviously untrue. But it does sound cool. Although the fountain of youth thing with immortality,.. that might not turn out so well, because it could turn into a pseudo alikeness to the first movie, with that immortality curse. Might be alot like the first.
Oh and I hope its directed by gore verbinski again, he did a great job with the 1-3, mikght not if its a new director. And I saw where it said how the will/elizabeth characters wont be there, thats good cause they kinda needed to end it after the third.
Anyway, these movies were once my all time fav movies... then i saw Sherlock Holmes at the movies... i liked the Davy Jones squid face thing... i like davy jones... he's my fav character... he's good... and immortal... and evil...
The movies were actually pretty good apart from whats his name always like "ohh, i gotta be a goody tooshoos and do the right thing and make it twice as hard for everyone else.."
