Religion should have no interference or power anywhere, except in its own separate little 'cults'. Just look at history, and see how many times religion has been the reason of a bunch of f*ckups. It got in the way, religion is bad that way.
Alex, you know how you might not agree with something, but you will defend the right to say it? I had my debate unit this year in english class and I had to be on a side i didnt agree with. So I had to get evidence and arguments for that side, even though I was totally against it. I even did pretty good in my debate. Why dont you assume the role of someone that believes in mainstream religion and argue for us. That can start it up.

I dont think anyone should ever be dragged into religion... In my opinion its just people who dont want to have that question of our existance lingering in their minds.... So they close it up and blindly believe everything that a book says... And think about it, who wrote that book? God? No. Just some random guy or a group of people, so you want to believe entirely what some people you've never met in your life have written hundreds of years ago? With the only proof being the book itself? Damn...
You dont need to go with what other people belive... Cant you think about that yourself and believe whatever you want to believe yourself?

Its the word of someone who couldnt face life and atone for their actions and so wanted to make up some fake crap that expains everything for him so he wont have to face the real world. That is what religion is.
Uh... Well that's not true, but whatever. I'm not a theist. You shouldn't disregard all religions. There are several which are focused mainly on moral codes as opposed to dieties. Pretty much everything from Asia really. I like Confucianism, it doesn't deal with any equality crap
If your so passionate about screwing religion then i dont see the difference... you say freedom then want to force ppl from religion... religion is a form of hope... and people need hope...
