We persist... somehow. Not quite sure to be honest. Apparently the thrill of internet nonsequitur is hard to exhaust. Not really doing anything, but we change the sheets every now and then.
Its down to Euro, WRP, Jack, and I tbh. Occasional visits from other people. Kara has left the internet for an unspecified amount of time, but she sometimes passes messages...
Heh yeah, I had lost the habit of logging on MSN a month or two ago (Nobody uses it anymore lol, I only logged in to chat with Kara), and after a few weeks when I was starting to wonder how Kara was going and I missed talking to her well, she was gone. If you see her, tell her life is going well and that I hope the same applies to her.
HAHA, you guys still play Minecraft too? omg Well, this is great, I thought I was the only one to play here! I'm a moderator on a french-canadian server hosted by a guy I know, we have members across all of Québec, a few in France and we're also starting to receive english -speaking members (Including one from Alberta who's really nice). If you don't mind having people speak french around you, you should all come in! Don't worry, pretty much everyone speaks english well and I'm one of the most active members, so you won't feel too alone.
It isn't very very active, but the community there is great. People are nice to each other, chat, exchange, talk about stuff. There are quite a few cities you can join, or you can go ahead and build solo projects in the wild, this server isn't a very controlling one so you're pretty much free to do whathever you want. It's a semi-RP server, in the sense that we encourage projects to fit somehow with what's around (So if you wanna do a giant nyan cat pixel art, please do it far far away from the cities xD) and have some kind of theme. Ever since books were added, we're also one of the rare servers that has a library, with a great quantity of books people can go read, as well as add the ones they write. It's great, it allows people to form some kind of lore for the server, get to know where the projects are, and there are a few quests or treasurehunts within the books. (Eh, well for now almost all the books are in french, but I made a few ones in english for the quests and I'll probably make some basic book summaries in english too)
French canadian family ftw ! In all of francophone places, french speakers from the Prairies are the best. Followed by the Acadians, franco-americans, Quebecois, Maghreb guys and at last, Frenchies. I just hate their kids. They're all ragers, crazy and fascists. You can never make any good deals with them. And they don't speak any word of english.
Probably. My sis is at U Chicago and I've already heard some nasty stories about her workload. Kara's surprisingly studious but she tends to downplay things. All I can discern is that she is seemingly up until 2:00 every night because of work. I, however, haven't written a paper yet. My classes are a waste of time :/
Goddamn, I dunno how thy manages to survive this, I never have the motivation of doing homework past 8PM
And yes, Minecraft. IP's 208.167.240.214 if you wanna take a look around, and if you wish to be added you can make a thread in this section of our forum http://log-craft.actifforum.com/f6-devenir-membre that's not been used since months, or post on our FB page of Serveur Log-Craft that we use for daily announcements now.
here in Quebec we're stuck with those red squares continuing their teen drama and complaining about the system...sometimes it gets entertaining arguing with them though
That was along the same lines as occupy wall st right? I find it hilarious that occupy is still going on. The media doesn't give a **** anymore because the protestors haven't done anything in months.
Yeah a bit, but it was a much more organized and popular movement here. Especially two of the main student leaders, Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois et Leo Bureau-Blouin, are now as famous as the other most important politicians of the province. Leo is now deputy for the PQ, the new elected government, at 20. He's the youngest deputy of Canada's history. He kinda deserves it since he was recognized as one of the most moderate leaders and he was respected by those who didn't really agree with the movement as well, though it's going so fast for him that I feel it'll eventually have drawbacks on him. GND, on the other hand, wasn't really a leader but just a representative, but his charismatic oratory talents and his photogenic appearance made him so popular that some people started considering him a hero and his life is almost treated like an epopey now. I met him once when he was in a tour of the province making conferences about his organisation's ideology (His, the CLASSE, was the most radical and extreme-left wing of the movement. While Leo now accepts indexation (A very small raise according to the global cost of life), the CLASSE insists for complete free education and keeps ranting about how we should throw capitalism away). I asked him a few questions but missed a good opportunity to argue with him. It's too bad, having an argument with GND in which I would have stood my ground would have been quite an achievement. But oh well, with all the red squares in my program I can train in debates every week. The conflict litterally split all of the students, if not most of the province.
Eh that's true, whenever I watch news about U.S politics it pretty much looks like two stubborn wings playing Risk with money. I remember once I had told thy I was interested in stepping in Quebec politics and she had said something like ''well, i dunno how it is in Quebec but here if you're not rich, you can't do that''.
We actually have moving political debates here and more than 2 important parti, that makes it pretty interesting
